INVOICE FACTORING FOR RECRUITMENT AGENCIES

A straightforward funding option for established recruitment businesses

Cash flow is one of the biggest challenges for recruitment agencies, particularly when you are paying workers weekly and waiting 30 days or more for clients to pay their invoices. Invoice factoring is one way to ease that pressure by giving you access to cash as soon as your invoices are raised, rather than when they are finally paid.

WHAT IS INVOICE FACTORING?

Invoice factoring is a funding solution that allows recruitment agencies to access cash tied up in unpaid invoices. Instead of waiting for clients to pay within agreed terms, a factoring facility releases a percentage of the invoice value shortly after it is raised. The remaining balance is paid once the client settles the invoice, minus any agreed fees.

For established recruitment agencies, invoice factoring can provide more predictable cash flow and help reduce the pressure of covering payroll while waiting for client payments.

HOW CAN SIMPLICITY SUPPORT YOUR CASH FLOW?

INVOICE FACTORING FOR RECRUITMENT AGENCIES

Simplicity’s invoice factoring is designed for established recruitment agencies that need reliable cash flow without unnecessary complexity. We take the time to understand your business and structure a facility that reflects your clients, your billing cycles and the way your agency operates.

Unlike general business finance providers, Simplicity works exclusively with recruitment agencies. Our invoice factoring facilities are built around recruitment workflows, including weekly payroll, multiple placements and varying client payment terms. You are supported by a team that understands the sector and the pressures that come with it.

Invoice factoring allows you to access funds as soon as invoices are raised, rather than waiting for clients to pay. This helps you manage payroll confidently, cover operating costs and continue placing candidates without cash flow holding you back. The level of funding is linked to your invoicing, so it can grow in line with your agency.

As part of your factoring facility, Simplicity provides professional credit control support. We help manage the collections process in a clear and consistent way, reducing the risk of late payments while maintaining a professional experience for your clients. We will explain exactly how this works so there are no surprises.

There is no one size fits all approach. Your invoice factoring facility is tailored to your agency, taking into account your clients, sectors and growth plans. If invoice factoring is not the right fit, we will talk you through our recruitment finance option instead, ensuring you are placed on the most suitable solution from the start.

Is invoice factoring right for my agency

Invoice factoring is usually most suitable for established recruitment agencies that:

  • Have a track record of trading

  • Work with clients who have agreed credit terms

  • Need to improve cash flow in order to keep growing

Start up agencies, or those without a consistent set of clients and debtors, will often benefit more from speaking to us about recruitment finance. This gives us the opportunity to build the right type of funding and support around your plans, rather than placing you into a product that is not designed for where you are in your journey.

When you speak to us, we will look at your business as a whole and talk honestly about which option is likely to work best for you over the long term.

FAQ's

Invoice factoring is a form of finance that allows you to receive an advance on your unpaid invoices. You raise an invoice as normal, and instead of waiting for the client to pay, you receive most of the value from the factoring provider. When the client pays, the remaining balance is passed on after fees have been deducted.

Simplicity focuses exclusively on recruitment. Our facilities are set up with the realities of recruitment in mind, from weekly pay cycles to the way your clients expect to be invoiced and communicated with. We take time to understand your agency and offer clear, transparent terms rather than a generic business finance product.

Invoice factoring is usually better suited to agencies that already have an established client base and a predictable flow of invoices. For newer agencies and start ups, we will normally explore recruitment finance and other options that can provide more flexibility while you are still building your ledger.

This depends on how the facility is structured. In many cases the factoring provider will be named on the invoice and may contact your clients as part of the collections process. We will explain exactly how this works and what it means for your client relationships before anything is put in place.

Once your facility has been set up and your processes are in place, funds can usually be released very quickly after invoices are submitted and approved. The exact timings will depend on the structure we agree with you, but the aim is always to make sure you can meet your payroll and other commitments on time.

If a client does not pay within the agreed terms, the collections process will continue in line with the agreement we have in place. We will discuss credit checks, limits and protections with you at the start so that you understand the level of risk and how it is managed.

LOOKING FOR MORE THAN INVOICE FACTORING?

Invoice factoring focuses on releasing cash from unpaid invoices. For many established recruitment agencies, that is exactly what they need.

However, some agencies want more support than funding alone. If you are looking for help with payroll, back-office processes, invoicing and credit control as well as funding, our Recruitment Finance solution may be a better fit.

Recruitment finance is designed for agencies that want a fully supported model rather than managing these processes in-house.
