    Simplicity is an innovative financial services provider to the recruitment industry. We provide recruiters with a range of funding, back-office and technology solutions to help them run successful and profitable businesses.

    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Professional to enhance our Finance Team. They will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of the company accounts, management of the accounts payable and cashbook and reconciliation and maintenance of the nominal ledger accounts for our customers.

    The ideal candidate will be an experienced accounts professional that can demonstrate a clear understanding of debits and credits and be a team player looking for a varied role. They will also have excellent communication skills and the desire and drive needed to succeed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for daily and monthly bank reconciliations, including posting bank receipts and payments in multiple companies.
    • Customer nominal code maintenance and reconciliations, including posting adjustment journals for additional fees and refunds ahead of weekly processing
    • Reconcile and pay customer PAYE and Pension liabilities monthly
    • Reconciliation and processing of customer receipts into GEMS Workflow
    • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
    • Compile information for weekly reporting
    • Processing of invoices, credit notes and reconciliation of statements from suppliers
    • Weekly supplier payment runs
    • Liaise with other functions within the company to resolve queries, ensuring good relationships are maintained.
    • General administration duties including email management, scanning, and answering telephone calls


    Key Skills:

    • Clear understanding and working knowledge of journals and, debits & credits
    • Excellent organisational/administrative skills with the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Methodical approach to problem resolution, with a focus on self-ownership
    • Be able to work consistently to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook and Word
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to work as part of a team
    • Experience in working with a group of companies and intercompany accounts (desirable but not essential)
    • Experience in working with accounting software (Sage 200 is desirable but not essential)


    Salary: £24,000 per annum depending on experience, plus benefits

    Hours: Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm
