    Collections Manager

    Simplicity is an innovative financial services provider to the recruitment industry. We provide recruiters with a range of funding, back-office and technology solutions to help them run successful and profitable businesses.

    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Collections Manager to manage and enhance our Collections Team. The focus on collections has never been higher, and in this role, you have the chance to influence the successes in this area directly.

    The ideal candidate should have at least three years of managerial experience within Collections and be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve the department’s performance, enabling the delivery of the objectives.

    You should be well organised, influential with your peers and stakeholders and a developer of people to support change. Experience using Collections software would be an advantage, although training will be provided.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To oversee the collections process and maximise our collections
    • To promote a good communication channel between our Customers and the Collections function
    • To identify and promote awareness within the team for when a client account becomes a risk to Simplicity and/or should be passed to our legal team
    • To act as an escalation for all Collections queries
    • To identify any client accounts where trading needs to cease as a result of overdue debts
    • Ensure that we remain compliant with our debt protection policies by identifying debts that require reporting and updating reported debts when payments are received
    • Be proactive in the identification of opportunities to improve performance (system, procedural or behavioural)
    • Proactively participate in business change projects to ensure factors relating to accounts receivable/credit are captured and appropriately managed
    • Ensure all reporting is meaningful with appropriate commentary explaining results/variances (debtor analysis, compliance monitors, provision calculations/postings, monthly dashboards)

    Key Skills:

    • Collections technical acumen
    • Experience in managing Collections and leading a team in an evolving, high-pressure environment
    • High level of PC literacy (including comprehensive Excel knowledge)
    • People Management experience (and ideally qualifications)
    • Qualified in and/or demonstrates numerical and cost evaluation skills
    • A driver of change – proactively enhances systems and processes, leading and managing change effectively
    • Analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Planning, organising and prioritisation
    • Teamwork – ability to cultivate strong working relationships across the management team and advise in credit
    • Excellent communication skills
    • A wide commercial awareness

    Salary: £30,000 per annum dependant on experience, plus benefits

    Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

    Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
