Simplicity increases client base and is on target to achieve £100m turnover by 2015.

Simplicity, an award-winning supplier of financial services to the UK recruitment industry, is celebrating the end of an extremely successful 2012, after expanding its team and doubling office space, in addition to rapidly growing its client base.

The Mitcheldean-based company signed up 180 new recruitment agencies in 2012 alone and celebrated an average of 20 per month throughout the latter part of 2012, which has led to an office expansion and recruitment of more staff to handle the extra demands of managing the payroll systems of new clients and providing finance to help grow their businesses.

Simplicity has increased its staff during the past year – with most living in the Forest of Dean – to assist the business in meeting its impressive growth strategy, which is currently on track to reach its £100m turnover target by 2015.

With unemployment rates currently at 2.5m nationally, Simplicity is determined to blaze a positive trail throughout 2013. Some of the new employees include Marie Holmes, payroll supervisor; Andrea Brown, assistant to the operations director; Simon Jay, Gemma Powell and Alex Goode, who all help to increase sales; whilst Rachel Virgo has been promoted to credit control supervisor.

All of Simplicity’s new and existing staff have undergone a neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) diploma in Business Communication with ‘Selling Success’ and ‘Training Minds’ to help enhance Simplicity’s service to its recruitment clients. Simplicity is already an ISO 9001 compliant company and an award-winning supplier of financial services to the UK recruitment industry, so this further emphasis on training and development continues to help differentiate them from the competition.

David Thornhill, managing director of Simplicity, commented: “We had a fantastic 2012, which could not have been made possible without our superb team. As a result of employing more staff and doubling our office space, we’ve been able to secure and take on more business during the past 12 months and consistently beat our own targets, making 2012 a record year; this is a good reflection of the demand we’ve seen from recruitment agencies looking to outsource their payroll and back offices, as they look to secure more finance and grow their businesses.

“We’re also focused on continuing to provide our employees with regular training and personal development support, in order for our customers to benefit from well-trained and knowledgeable staff. The office expansion has really brought a cultural change to the team, as it’s a much calmer environment, as there is more room to work in.

“We’re getting closer to our £100m target, I want to thank our staff for their support this year and that our success continues into the new financial year and beyond. We have spent more than £250K on our software and systems too, so all this should give our customer base the service and confidence that they have chosen the right partner.”
